Good news & bad news to report here at the Default This camp. Let's get the bad news out of the way!

Unfortunately, The Meligrove Band have had to pull out of the show in London at Catch due to illness. GOOD NEWS TIME. The show IS still going ahead though and we have an awesome line up for you guys.

23rd February @ Catch Bar and it's only £3 in! Sweet!

Our birthday party is sorted! The full line up is as follows:

&U&I, Shapes, Shoes and Socks Off, Tangled Hair, Ocean Bottom Nightmare, shakey hands, Solomon Grundy, Crushing Blows and Adam S Kirkup.

All the bands playing are contributing to the first Default This zine which will be free to all attendees. Expect balloons, birthday cake, great music and lots of fun. We can't wait! Tickets are on sale now from

AND FINALLY - we'll be putting on Johnny Foreigner on the 22nd April in Notts. Keep your eyes peeled.

We've just confirmed this noise laden duo for a show in London at the Unicorn in Camden. What's even better is that the show is FREE ENTRY (don't say we aren't good to you!). Keep Sunday 10th April free, it'll be a stonker!

The band have three releases out via Holy Roar Records (Gallows, Rolo Tomassi, Pulled Apart By Horses) and have a fourth EP released via an exclusive partnership with musicglue.com. The band will be releasing a limited edition split 7” in April.

The band received rave reviews for their mini-album (released in March '10) and have been praised by the likes of Huw Stephens and John Hillcock. They've also received airplay on Radio 1, XFM, BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing, Artrocker Radio and NME radio.

Default This are super excited to be putting them on. Support comes from Solomon Grundy and more TBC.

So our first London show of 2011 is booked! We're pleased to be bringing you the awesome MELIGROVE BAND.

Their new record will be out on LAST GANG RECORDS (Chromeo, Boys Noize, Crystal Castles) in the UK on January 17th. This is what some people have said about them so far:
