2013

So it's that time of year again when everyone reflects on the past 12 months and rounds up their top ten records of the year. And we're joining in!

KELLY'S TOP 10
In no particular order:
  1. Waxahatchee – Cerulean Salt (Wichita)
  2. Deafheaven – Sunbather (Deathwish Inc)
  3. Modern Life Is War – Fever Hunting (Deathwish Inc)
  4. Crash of Rhinos – Knots (Topshelf Records)
  5. The Front Bottoms – Talon of the Hawk (Bar None Records)
  6. Owen – L’Ami du Peuple (Polyvinyl)
  7. Jon Hopkins – Immunity (Domino Recording Co)
  8.  John Grant - Pale Green Ghosts (Bella Union)
  9. Parquet Courts – Light Up Gold (What’s Your Rupture)
  10. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Push The Sky Away (Bad Seed Ltd)
There's been tonnes of great music this year, and I've also discovered loads of older records I've never got round to listening to before and bands that completely passed me by last year.

When Rupe has finished essay hell I'll get him to post his too.

Default This has been pretty quiet on the gigs front this year as real life kind of took over, but we did get the chance to work with some awesome bands - as you can see below! Rupe's band Bloody Mammals have been busy gigging and will be recording new material next year.  I've also been  busy repping shows for the awesome Parallel Lines Promotions. Go check them out if you haven't already!

We'll be doing a few more shows in 2014, so get in touch if your band is touring.
